In comparison to the 12 hours, it would take to fly via transit routes offered by other airlines, the direct journey will take just over nine hours.
This is the airline’s third announcement of an Australian destination in the last month. Bamboo Airways announced the start of direct flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Sydney and Melbourne in February 2022.
The airline also declared aspirations to expand to Europe during the launch ceremony for its Hanoi-Melbourne service.
“Bamboo Airways is expected to facilitate convenience for passengers between two countries; a positive contribution to the relationship between Vietnam – Australia in many ways such as diplomatic, trade-investment, development cooperation, culture – tourism and people’s exchange,” Deputy directorate of Bamboo Airways Truong Phuong said at the announcement ceremony.
This will also be an important topic for Bamboo Airways to continue developing regular direct flights to other countries in the region, as well as connecting Australia to countries in Europe, Asia… through the central point of transfer to Vietnam.”
