United Airlines, intends to follow the example of other major airlines by requiring its personnel to get immunized against the COVID-19 virus.
The decision to require crew and other staff immunization was made in response to the steadily increasing number of persons infected with the extremely contagious Delta variant of the COVID-19 virus in the United States.
According to a memo received by the Wall Street Journal, United Airlines Chief Executive Officer Scott Kirby and President Brett Hart notified employees who have previously been inoculated against the virus that they must disclose their medical records to the employer.
