By introducing the Boeing 737 MAX on Monday, United increased the capacity of its operations in Colombia. The airline will use this aircraft to fly between the United States and South America for the first time.
An airplane with the registration number N27271 carried out the inaugural flight of the Boeing 737 MAX 8; it departed from Newark Airport (EWR) at 18:04 and arrived at El Dorado International Airport (BOG) at 23:08, or five hours and four minutes later.
According to information received by Aviacionline through Cirium, United will provide 6,412 weekly seats between the United States and Colombia starting in mid-November, which is an 8% increase over 2019 levels.
On nighttime flights from Houston – Intercontinental (IAH) to Bogota and routes from Newark (EWR), Boeing 737 MAX 8s will take the place of Boeing 737-700 Next Generation Boeing 737-700s (BOG). The usual aircraft will continue to fly the UA 207 and UA 206 routes.
