We are gradually getting a look at the Boeing 777 aircraft that low-cost carrier (LCC) IndiGo will soon operate on a route between Delhi (DEL) and Istanbul (IST).

This is the first painting process of the aircraft undertook at the Turkish Technic facilities in Istanbul, Turkey on March 14, 2023, after the MRO subsidiary of Turkish Airlines released photographs on its Twitter account.

Turkish Technic published the first images of the Boeing 777 outside the paint shop on March 22, 2023, with the complete IndiGo livery.

IndiGo has already wet-leased Boeing 777s from Turkish Airlines and the two airlines have been flying codeshare flights between Istanbul and Mumbai. But, up until this point, these flights were still using THY’s livery.

The Boeing 777-300ER, which is now a part of Turkish Airlines’ fleet, was formerly used by Russian charter airline Azur Air.

In this regard, it appears that IndiGo won’t make any changes to the Russian operator’s cabin interior, thus the Indian LCC will fly the aircraft with a somewhat cramped interior that includes 7 business class seats and 524 economy class seats.
