According to a Turkish aviation news website, Turkish Airlines intends to acquire about 30 Airbus A220 aircraft for regional flights.
Turkish Airlines considered both the Embraer E195 and the A220 but ultimately decided on the Airbus due to its lower operating costs and greater range.
The A220 is not currently operated by Turkish Airlines, which intends to rebrand as Türkiye Havayollar. It does operate other Airbus models such as the A320, A330, and A350.
