Traveling to the UK will be easier from now on since the UK has removed 87 percent of the countries from its red travel list.
South Africa has been on the list of these countries throughout the majority of 2021. It will currently be removed from the list, along with Mexico, Brazil, and 44 other countries. The following countries will continue to be on the list:
- Colombia
- Dominican Republic
- Ecuador
- Haiti
- Panama
- Peru
- Venezuela
British Airways CEO Sean Doyle said: “It finally feels like we are seeing light at the end of a very long tunnel. Britain will benefit from this significant reduction in red list countries, and now it’s time to turn our attention to eradicating testing for fully vaccinated travellers.”
Travel restrictions in the United Kingdom are updated every three weeks, so the next change is likely on or around Thursday, October 28.
