Shortly before taking control of a flight carrying passengers toward the capital London, a British pilot who was employed by British Airways experienced a heart attack and passed away.
The pilot, whose name has not been released, was getting ready to take off from Cairo, the capital of Egypt, for Heathrow Airport in London when he suddenly passed out at the hotel where the crew was accommodated.
The pilot managed to get out of his hotel room, and his colleagues tried to revive him, but they could not save him, he died.
The pilot, who has a long experience of flying, was suffering from health disorders that have been reported in recent months.
A Boeing 787 was deployed specifically for his case and transported the pilot’s remains to Britain.
