On April 7, 2022, a DHL Aero Expreso Boeing 757 freighter had a severe landing accident at San Jose Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) in Costa Rica.
According to media reports, the Boeing 757-200F, registered as HP-2010DAE, was flying D07216 from SJO airport to Guatemala City (GUA), but around 10 minutes into the flight, the pilots requested an emergency landing.
Shortly after the disaster, video of the plane veering off to the right towards the taxiway and slipping down an embankment shortly after touchdown.
There were no injuries among the crew members.
