Due to issues with cabin pressure, a Singapore Airlines (SIA1) (SINGY) flight from London had to be diverted to Frankfurt.

On November 24, 2022, SQ 317 was on its way from London Heathrow Airport (LHR) to Singapore Changi Airport (SIN), when the pilots opted to divert the aircraft to Frankfurt Airport (FRA) after noticing a problem with the A380’s cabin pressure.

According to the flight-tracking website Flightradar24, SQ 317 departed LHR on November 24, 2022, at about 11:20 (London local time), and was scheduled to land in Singapore on November 25, 2022, at 07:50 (local time).

“The pilots decided to divert to Frankfurt as a precautionary measure after detecting a cabin pressurization issue,” an airline spokesperson told Channel News Asia.

Around 14:00 local time, the diverted flight—which had 79 passengers and 27 crew members—arrived safely in FRA.

The A380 was stranded in FRA for maintenance, and passengers were provided accommodation and meals.

On November 25, 2022, at 08:00 local time, SQ9326, a relief aircraft, departed from SIN and is scheduled to land in FRA at 14:25 that same day.

On November 26, 2022, the flight will then take off from FRA as SQ9325 at 15:55 local time and land in Singapore at 11:05 local time.
