To lease nine Embraer 190-E2 aircraft, Scoot and aircraft lessor Azorra signed a letter of intent.
The aircraft are scheduled by Singapore Airlines’ (SIA) low-cost division to arrive between 2024 and 2025. It will be the first airline in Singapore to fly the E190-E2.
“Expanding Scoot‘s fleet to include nine new El 90-E2 aircraft enables us to continue operating a modern and fuel-efficient fleet,” said Leslie Thng, Scoot‘s Chief Executive Officer. “It also affirms our commitment to offer even more travel opportunities for our customers at the same great value. The new aircraft ensures that Scoot is ready for growth by enhancing our connectivity in the region and support the further development of our Singapore hub.”
Scoot currently has a fleet of 32 Airbus 320 family and 19 Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
