Porter Airlines is implementing a COVID-19 Vaccination Policy for its employees in order to promote a safe and healthy workplace for both employees and passengers.
Team members must be completely vaccinated or submit a negative COVID-19 test administered within 72 hours of the start of their shift, in accordance with Porter’s resumption of service on September 8, 2021.
The federal government of Canada recently revealed its plan to require immunization for federally regulated firms and workers. Porter is the first Canadian airline to commit to implementing these critical safety measures. The policy may change once the government’s particular requirements are revealed.
The epidemic has had a significant impact on the airline sector. After more than a year, travel restrictions were only recently modified, mostly based on vaccination rates. Vaccines have been shown to reduce serious illness and death by 95 percent or more on a consistent basis. They are also quite good at preventing infection.
Porter also agrees with the government’s proposal to demand full vaccination for all flight travelers. On September 8, the airline will resume service to select Canadian locations.
