Norse Atlantic Airways has begun selling tickets for flights between Gatwick Airport (LGW) and John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York (JFK).

On August 12, 2022, the start-up carrier will operate a Gatwick-JFK route, with round-trip prices starting at £255 (US$322). Flights between the United Kingdom and the United States will be available on a daily basis. Other destinations in the United States will be announced soon.

“We are very pleased to now be able to welcome customers looking to book great value flights between London Gatwick and New York JFK,” CEO of Norse Atlantic Airways Bjorn Tore Larsen announced in a statement.

“Passengers across London and the South East will now be able to benefit from another transatlantic service from Gatwick, with Norse offering excellent value for money for those flying out for a dream holiday, or important business trip, to New York,” CEO of Gatwick Airport Stewart Wingate added.

Norse Atlantic has yet to begin flights, as the company postponed its scheduled debut owing to concerns about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and rising oil prices. The carrier now plans to take off on June 14, 2022, for its first flight. The airline’s first flights will be between Oslo and American cities.

The airline intends to operate 15 Boeing 787 Dreamliners. According to data from Planespotters.net, nine 787s are now parked at OSL airport.

Norse Atlantic is also currently subleasing two 787-8s and two 787-9s to Air Europa for an 18-month contract. The move is intended to help the airline generate more revenue.
