Manchester Airports Group (MAG) is hiring more than 500 people for passenger security positions at Manchester Airport, as well as positions in customer service, parking, and hospitality.
Hundreds of other employees are also available at the airport, which is home to more than a dozen different enterprises.
Airlines, ground handlers, aviation contractors, and service providers such as Jet2.com, Swissport, dNata, Stobart Aviation, ABM, Menzies, and the UK Border Force will all be represented at the upcoming jobs expo.
Retailers SSP, TRG, HMSHost, and DUFRY will be on hand, as well as well-known brands and eateries with airport locations including BarBurrito, Costa Coffee, Caffé Nero, Monsoon, WHSmith, and Travelex.
Attendees at the fair will have the opportunity to speak directly with companies, asking any questions they may have, and learn more about what businesses are looking for in applications, increasing their chances of landing a job at the airport.
“We’re incredibly thrilled to be organizing this Jobs Fair to give as many people as possible access to the vast range of wonderful opportunities we have on offer,” said Cath Bailey, MAG’s chief people officer.
“With travel restrictions having been eased, we are expecting customer demand to bounce back very quickly and are recruiting ahead of what we hope will be a busy summer.
“If you have strong people skills, are self-motivated, and have the ambition to build an exciting career in aviation, an airport job could be perfect for you – it’s a place that offers endless variety, bags of opportunity, and a brilliant team who’ll support you all the way.
“We held a virtual jobs fair in January which was very well-received and booked up fast, so we’d advise potential attendees to book a place for this event without delay to avoid disappointment.”
The event will take place at Old Trafford Cricket Ground on February 10th from 10:00-15:00, and guests can register on the Eventbrite page.
