Nearly 90% of the locations that London Gatwick Airport traveled to during the same period in 2019 will be serviced this October half-term. It will go to 172 locations over the next holiday season as opposed to 197 at the same time in 2019 (87%).

Dublin, Barcelona, and Malaga are popular locations for half-term vacations, whereas Dubai, New York, and Orlando are the most popular long-distance destinations.

Gatwick will welcome Bamboo Airways, a new airline with a new route to Hanoi, Vietnam, at the conclusion of the half-term. In addition, JetBlue is expanding its daily service to New York, one of the more than 50 weekly flights to the US that are already available from Gatwick.

“We are really excited to see the number of destinations we fly to almost returning to pre-Covid levels for the October half-term,” said Jonathan Pollard, Chief Commercial Officer, London Gatwick Airport.

“The summer was incredibly busy, and we took steps to provide more certainty for passengers, including recruiting more than 400 new security staff, so we are well-resourced for half-term and beyond. It’s great to see our departure lounges busy again with people eager to jet off and enjoy our fantastic range of destinations, across Europe and further afield.”
