All-business European airline La Compagnie is preparing for more expansion.
The airline is presently negotiating the purchase of two more Airbus A321neo aircraft.
La Compagnie airline will be able to improve its three present routes, which connect New York (Newark – EWR) to Paris Orly (ORY), Milan Malpensa (MXP), and, during the summer, Nice-Côte d’Azur, by doubling its fleet, which currently runs two aircraft of the same kind (NCE).
In the following two years, La Compagnie hopes to introduce new routes.
The airline recorded its first profit since its founding in 2014 for the fiscal year 2021–2022. This was made possible by strong load factors after the COVID-related reopening of America’s borders.
La Compagnie had load factors that ranged from about 75% on average to as high as 80% over the summer last year. With up to 85%, the seasonal Nice to New York route performed especially well.
According to the airline’s analysis of the traveler profile, there is a good mix of European business travelers and American leisure tourists.
The A321neo aircraft operated by La Compagnie has 76 business class lie-flat seats arranged in a 2-2 configuration.
