JetBlue Airways has stated that it plans to deepen and broaden its existing cooperation with Qatar Airways in order to provide passengers with even more perks when booking flights to and from foreign destinations on the global partner carrier.
In the coming months, this will involve increased codesharing in new countries, enhanced perks for JetBlue TrueBlue® and Qatar Airways’ Privilege Club reward members, expanded marketing opportunities, and flight schedule improvements to provide new, seamless connections between the two carriers.
Qatar Airways is already one of JetBlue’s top partners for linking customers across the Americas to its worldwide network, and new advancements to the agreement are expected to boost traffic even further.
This new arrangement will increase travel possibilities between JetBlue’s 100+ destinations in North America and the Caribbean and Qatar Airways’ 82-country worldwide network. JetBlue places its code on Qatar Airways flights in nine U.S. gateways or offers connections through them.
In addition, the airlines want to create an integrated airside transfer option for customers connecting at New York-JFK, JetBlue’s major target city and Qatar Airways’ most heavily served U.S. destination.
JetBlue customers may now fly to more than 80 locations in Africa, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and South Asia from Doha, Qatar’s Hamad International Airport (DOH), which was crowned the Best Airport in the World in 2021.
At the same time, Qatar Airways customers already have access to JetBlue’s network, which includes more than 60 destinations. Since 2011, the two airlines have collaborated.
Customers can now make use of new features that link the carriers’ loyalty schemes. The possibility to earn TrueBlue points or Privilege Club Avios is available to TrueBlue and Privilege Club members. The ability to redeem points on either carrier’s flights will be added to those privileges in the future.
