After an in-flight engine failure, an Air France Airbus A318 was forced to return to Paris Orly.
The Airbus A318-100, registered F-GUGP, was climbing from Paris Orly to Perpignan as flight AF-7470 when the right-hand engine failed. After sending out flames, the engine reportedly shut down.
The crew stopped their climb and returned to the departure airport, where they landed safely. There were no injuries as a result of the incident.
The day prior, the same plane had been involved in another incident.
It had lost the left-hand engine electrical generator the day before while en way to Algeria.
