On a Spirit Airlines trip to Nashville on Saturday night, a lady attacked two flight attendants before being restrained by a fellow passenger.
According to an arrest affidavit, a 42-year-old woman was detained for public intoxication after the flight crew alerted cops on the ground at Nashville International Airport at 7 p.m.
According to Spirit Airlines spokesman Nicole Aguiar and FlightAware, a flight-tracking website, the flight left Fort Lauderdale about 6 p.m.
Officers were informed by members of the crew that she had attacked two flight attendants, punching one and pulling the hair of the other.
Another passenger was binding the passenger’s feet with zip ties when she deplaned, according to the affidavit. She had an alcoholic odor, talked slurredly, and her eyes were bloodshot. According to the affidavit, she admitted to authorities that she drank “a lot.”
According to the complaint, she yelled at the officers multiple times after they arrested her, using expletives and shouting things like “I didn’t do anything wrong” and “kill me.” The passenger also fought to get into the police car, stiffening her legs to keep cops from closing the door.
