Gulf Air will restart direct flights to Baku in the first week of January, with two weekly flights planned.

“We have been operating direct flights between Bahrain and Azerbaijan since 2018, and it has been a popular destination within the Gulf Air network since its introduction,” Waleed AlAlawi, acting chief executive officer of Gulf Air, stated on this occasion.

“As the global vaccination program continues to put a sense of normalcy back into our routine, we are really pleased to see a much healthier trend in the tourism industry and the resumption of some of our most popular destinations.”

Gulf Air currently runs flights to over 80% of its pre-pandemic network, while the airline continues to work closely with government authorities in all of its destinations to restart service.
