The ongoing national strike action in France is causing delays to scheduled flights to Paris-Orly (ORY), which is causing problems for airlines throughout Europe and Northern Africa.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) declared on January 29, 2023 that France will have a two-day national industrial strike from January 30 to February 1, 2023.
According to the DGCA, travelers and airlines should prepare for cancellations and delays in air operations to and from Paris-Orly. Additionally, throughout the length of the strike, the DGCA requested that airlines cut back on their flying itineraries by 20%.
Airlines like Air France, Ryanair, easyJet, and Royal Air Maroc have all declared decreased services or interruptions to their operations in and out of Paris-Orly since the strike action began.
