Due to increased vaccination coverage and the mild form of newer virus variations, many nations are lifting COVID-19-related restrictions. As a result, Finnair is no longer requiring passengers to wear a face mask on all flights.

Customers and employees are no longer needed to wear a face mask on Finnair flights as of April 25, unless the authorities of the destination or origin country specifically mandate it. Those who choose to continue wearing a mask while traveling are free to do so.

In many nations, masks are still required to be worn on flights to and from the destination. Both the crew and the passengers are required to wear a face mask for the duration of the flight.

Customers can consult the Finnair.com travel updates page for a list of countries that require masks onboard or visit the local authorities’ websites for further information.

Domestic flights and flights to and from Scandinavia, for example, do not require masks, although masks are necessary for flights to and from Asia and many European destinations.
