Later in 2022, the Taipei-based airline EVA Air will begin nonstop service to Munich, Germany, and Milan, Italy. This will be the airline’s first European expansion in 25 years.
On October 25, 2022, the Taiwanese airline will launch service from Taipei to Milan, and on November 3, 2022, it will launch service from Taipei to Munich. Aircraft from the Boeing 777-300ER will fly the routes.
EVA Air currently offers nonstop flights to Paris and Vienna as well as flights via Bangkok to London and Amsterdam.
“The added service will give business and leisure travelers more itinerary opportunities when they choose to arrive in one city and return from another,” the airline commented in a statement on July 5, 2022.
The COVID-19 epidemic delayed EVA Air’s intentions to operate the Milan service in February 2020.
