Eurowings, a leisure airline, will offer more locations than ever before in its summer flying schedule in 2022.
Anyone who wants to use the cold Christmas days to start planning their 2022 vacation can now choose from over 140 appealing direct connections.
Capacity will be near to pre-Covid-19 levels next summer, with roughly 2,500 weekly flights.
The Balearic island of Mallorca is clearly the front-runner, with Eurowings offering up to 380 flights a week from more than 20 airports next summer.
For the first time, Eurowings will fly from Hamburg to the Portuguese towns of Lisbon and Porto, as well as the Spanish cities of Alicante and Bilbao.
In addition, for the first time, travelers will be able to fly straight from the Hanseatic city to Verona, Italy, and Gothenburg, Sweden.
Eurowings is increasing its service from Stuttgart, with a concentration on southern European destinations: Porto (Portugal), Adana and Kütahya-Zafer (Turkey), Preveza (Greece) and Tbilisi (Georgia), as well as Tivat (Montenegro) and Tunis (Tunisia).
Timisoara, Romania, has also been reintroduced to the flight schedule.
Eurowings will provide the new destinations of Bergamo, Funchal, and Troms from Düsseldorf in the winter schedule of 2021/22 and the summer schedule of 2022.
Eurowings will fly from Düsseldorf to Volos, a Greek port city in the Thessaly area, for the first time.
Belgrade, Serbia’s capital, is a new addition to the program.
In addition, the airline will resume service to Kosice (Slovakia) and Mostar (Bosnia-Herzegovina) (Bosnia-Herzegovina).
In the summer, Germany’s main holiday airline, Lufthansa, will also travel to Tenerife and Alicante from Cologne/Bonn.
Following the Covid-19 gap, Eurowings has reintroduced flights from Cologne/Bonn to the popular Turkish destinations of Izmir and Kayseri.
