Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, announced today that on October 1, 2021, it will launch the first scheduled commercial Airbus A380 service to Istanbul, Turkey.
The A380 will be used on Emirates’ daily EK123/124 route. Flight EK123 will take off from Dubai at 10:45 a.m. and arrive in Istanbul at 14:25 a.m. EK124 will depart Istanbul at 16:25 and arrive in Dubai at 21:50. All times are in local time.
Emirates will deploy a three-class A380, with 14 private suites in First Class, 76 micro pods with lie-flat seats in Business Class, and 427 capacious seats in Economy Class, increasing capacity each flight by more than 150 passengers over the present Boeing 777-300ER.
With 118 A380s in its fleet, Emirates is the world’s largest operator.
As international crossings reopen and travel restrictions ease, Emirates has restarted passenger service and will operate 17 weekly passenger flights from Dubai to Istanbul, including two daily flights and three time slots – morning, afternoon, and evening.
The A380 will run in the morning, bringing the route’s total weekly capacity to 7,000 seats in each direction.
