In order to give its passengers more travel options, Emirates and Air Canada (ADH2) have engaged in a strategic collaboration arrangement.

Customers of Emirates will benefit from an improved travel experience while flying to Toronto or other important locations on the Air Canada (ADH2) network thanks to the agreement. Customers will also be able to book connecting flights between the networks of both airlines, according to a joint announcement from the two airlines.

“This is a significant partnership that will enable our customers to access to even more destinations in Canada and the Americas, via our Toronto and US gateways. It also opens up many new route combinations for travelers across Emirates’ and Air Canada’s (ADH2) extensive networks in the Americas, the Middle East, Africa and Asia,” Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates, said.

“As we continue pursuing our strategy of expanding our global reach in response to growing opportunities in VFR markets (Visit Friends and Relatives) that serve Canada’s large multicultural communities, we are very pleased to form a strategic partnership with Emirates,” said Air Canada’s (ADH2) President and Chief Executive Officer, Michael Rousseau.

“We look forward to introducing Air Canada (ADH2) codeshare service on key Emirates flights, as well as adding the EK code on select Air Canada (ADH2) flights, and welcoming Emirate’s customers on our services later this year,” Rousseau added.

Both airlines hope to create a codeshare partnership later in 2022, claims the statement. Customers of Air Canada (ADH2) will have “increased consumer travel options” to travel to the United Arab Emirates and other locations than Dubai thanks to this.
