After becoming disruptive about halfway through the four-and-a-half-hour trip earlier this week, the female passenger was having more than a moment.
According to a witness, the obnoxious passenger was ‘aggressive’ towards flight crew members because of the screaming babies on board.
After she made a ruckus and even slapped a fellow passenger, the airplane was diverted to Vienna, Austria, so she could be evacuated. The flight arrived two hours later than expected in Antalya.
The belligerent individual became disruptive “around an hour and 20 minutes” into the journey, according to another passenger on the flight, according to the Manchester Evening News.

“There was lots of noise,” the passenger, who asked not to be identified, said.
“Then she came to the front of the plane. She was really angry towards Jet2 staff and wouldn’t calm down. Her voice was getting louder and more aggressive – she was shouting in people’s faces.
“People were saying she was kicking off at the airport before she even got on the plane. Then some people said it was over babies crying on the flight.
“A CUSTOMER SAID SOMETHING AND SHE SLAPPED HIM IN THE FACE. THEN A MAN GOT UP TO TRY AND CALM THE SITUATION BEFORE TAKING HER TO THE BACK OF THE PLANE.”
According to the passenger, this is when the crew decided to divert the flight to Vienna.
As she was boarding the plane, the woman allegedly slapped another passenger.
“This is the first time we have had to land because of someone on a flight,” the passenger added.
“Jet2 staff handled the whole situation very well. Nobody could help the out-of-control woman once she slapped the passenger.”
Jet2 apologized for the event in a text message to passengers on the flight following the incident.
“Hello, we are sorry that your aircraft has been diverted to Vienna owing to the disruptive behavior of a fellow passenger,” the message added.
“We are working on a situation to get you on your way as soon as possible.”
In a statement, Jet2 verified the occurrence, and the flight operator confirmed that the flight proceeded to Antalya successfully after the passenger departed.
“We can confirm that flight LS895 from Manchester to Antalya diverted to Vienna earlier today to remove a disruptive passenger,” a Jet2 spokeswoman stated.
“As a family-friendly airline, we take a zero-tolerance approach to disruptive behavior.”
There are far worse locations to halt than Vienna, as inconvenient as it may be to have your aircraft diverted.
