Following a record-breaking hiring year that saw 4,300 new flight attendants join the company since the fall of 2021, Delta will maintain the trend by employing between 4,000 and 6,000 additional people in 2023. Apply as fast as possible because the position won’t be posted for long.

“Our flight attendants have a unique opportunity to make a profound, lasting impact on the 200 million customers we serve every year,” said Jennifer Martin, Managing Director – IFS CX, Learning and Hiring. “We can’t wait to grow our team of highly skilled, safety-focused professionals who bring the Delta spirit to life on every flight.”

Applicants may start applying right away. This is the opportunity for you if you enjoy meeting new people, going on adventures, and making memories! Keep in mind that applicants who previously submitted an application but were not chosen to advance must wait three months from the date of disqualification before resubmitting.

What’s the requirement to be a Delta flight attendant?

Candidates must be at least 21 years old by the date of application submission, possess a high school diploma or GED, be able to work in the United States and speak English effectively. All new hire flight attendants are required to have all required vaccinations before the start of their training. Two weeks following the second dosage of the Pfizer, Moderna, or J&J vaccine, or two weeks following the first dose, are considered fully immunized.

Since Delta operates daily, overnight flights throughout the year, flight attendants must be adaptable and ready to fly both domestic and foreign routes. In addition, Delta is looking for candidates who are fluent in English and one of the following languages: Danish, Dutch, French, Italian, Greek, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, Czech, or Swedish. The airline has a global network that includes more than 300 destinations.

Every Delta flight attendant’s first priority is to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort while offering great service. For a description of the flight attendant position, information on how to apply, and responses to some frequently requested questions, see the 2023 Hiring Process Guide.
