While en route from San Francisco (SFO) to London (LHR), a British Airways Airbus A380 declared an emergency over Northern Ireland.
According to data from Flightradar24, the pilots began transmitting an emergency code 7700 at around 2:16 PM GMT on February 12, 2023.
Around five minutes later, the code was modified once more. At 3:15 PM GMT, the airplane touched down at London Heathrow (LHR) as scheduled.
The landing runway was modified for the flight, which indicates that the pilots probably asked for a priority landing, according to Aviation Source News.
Immediately after the emergency was declared, Airlive reported that a passenger had been “feeling sick.”
Regarding the incident, neither LHR nor British Airways released a statement.
