On April 14, an Azman Air Airbus A340-600 caught fire on one of its main landing gear at Jeddah-King Abdullah International Airport.
The 5N-AAM Airbus A340-600 had arrived in Jeddah as flight ZQ2350 from Nigeria’s Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport.
When passengers noticed the flames, the plane had arrived at the apron and people were beginning to disembark by steps.
As passengers disembark on the plane, a fire is observed on one of the main landing gear in a video uploaded on the internet.

The airport’s emergency response crew arrived on the scene quickly and put out the fire with no more complications. During landing, the aircraft’s brakes most likely overheated.
There were no injuries as a result of the incident. The damage to the aircraft’s landing gear, on the other hand, is yet unknown. Since the incident, the plane has been grounded in Jeddah.
