Quarantine will not be required for anyone travelling in England who are fully vaccinated from the EU or the US, according to the BBC.
Except for France, those who have been completely vaccinated in the UK do not need to isolate while traveling from countries on the amber list.
However, that exemption did not apply to those who had been vaccinated outside of the UK.
The decision was taken earlier this week by the government’s Covid Operations committee.
The travel sector had been pressing for a modification in the laws so that individuals living overseas could come to the UK more readily for vacations or to visit loved ones.
However, the US border is currently blocked to the UK and many other countries, with the exception of US residents.
