The Latvian carrier airBaltic has received its 39th Airbus A220-300 plane, further solidifying its position as the largest operator of the kind in the world.
The airline confirmed in a statement that the plane arrived at its hub at Riga International Airport on December 31, 2022.
The aircraft, with registration YL-ABM, is the airline’s seventh Airbus delivery of 2022, increasing its total number of Airbus-only aircraft in service to 39.
The Latvian flag carrier has purchase options to buy an additional 30 A220-300 aircraft from the European aircraft manufacturer, bringing its total number of A220-300 aircraft in operation to 50 by 2024.
