Air Austral and Corsair have decided to begin talks to form a joint venture for Indian Ocean services.
While the Covid-19 situation continues to have an impact on the air transport sector’s profitability, this initiative aims to improve service for passengers in the Indian Ocean region while also boosting the economic viability of these two airlines.
By combining their forces and resources, Air Austral and Corsair hope to create an offer that will benefit their customers by providing an extended and diverse network and flight schedule, a variety of time slots (departure and arrival), and competitive offers.
This significant project will improve connection within the Indian Ocean region as well as to other locations served by both airlines, particularly Africa, foreign destinations within the Indian Ocean network, and Canada.
It should be highlighted that this business collaboration will protect Air Austral and Corsair’s identities and independence. The project will be presented to staff representatives as well as relevant French authorities prior to implementation.
