Aeroflot led the world’s mainline airlines in on-time performance in August 2021.
According to the Monthly On-Time Performance Report produced by Cirium, a global source of aviation data for the travel industry, Aeroflot operated 92 percent of flights on time in August. Furthermore, Aeroflot has preserved its title as Europe’s most punctual mainline airline for the second month in a row.
Cirium collects data from hundreds of unique sources and records over 100,000 flights per day to report on airline and airport on-time performance.
Cirium has resumed its coverage of the worldwide airline category, which had been halted since the outbreak of the pandemic. According to Cirium’s analysts, this is an indication of a return to normalcy for the world’s airlines.
Aeroflot’s on-time performance has been constantly improved by efficient techniques such as rigorous adherence to flight boarding procedures. Future plans include innovations based on cutting-edge digital technologies, such as biometric controls, that will greatly speed up passenger pre-flight airport procedures.
